Hello folks and welcome to my wonderful home on the World Wide Web. You've obviously come to learn a little about me, so here goes... I'm currently 30 years of age, live in the wonderful city of Grand Forks, ND and work as an Operational Meteorologist for Meridian Environmental Technology, Inc. Soon, I will be moving departments within the company and will take over duties as a Road Weather Specialist beginning April 16th. It will take me out of forecasting, however will give me an opportunity to grow professionally and into a bigger role with the company. I'm very much looking forward to the new challenges I'll face and especially, the normal work schedule that will come with the job. The latter, of which, is something I haven't had in nearly 5 years! In addition, I am a Hoosier native and definitely cheer on my Indiana Hoosiers (even though they had their worst year in school history this past season) and, obviously, the Indianapolis Colts! As far as other aspects of my life... I am currently single but have met someone recently that may lead to something special. We will have to see where it goes, but thus far seems to be working quite well. I enjoy many things, including, listening to music, blogging, watching and playing sports, and photography... In general, though, spending time outdoors is one of my favorite things to do. This winter has limited my activity, but I'm desperately awaiting the start of spring (whenever that may occur!) and the warmth of summer. We have had a long, cold winter and even though the official start of Spring came a couple of weeks ago, we've still seen two winter storms since, one of which was a full-blown blizzard to areas south of us. If you have been staying updated on my weather and chase blog or have watched TV at all over the past week, you'd also know we have seen record flooding along the Red River. The crest in Fargo was the highest ever recorded, however, Grand Forks, dodged a bullet, so to speak. Our crest ranks within the top 5 highest, however the dike and flood-wall system installed after the record 1997 floods have protected the area. I was out 4 days in a row sandbagging here in Grand Forks and East Grand Forks because of the high waters... Anyhow, if there's anything else you would like to know about me that I didn't address, you are certainly more than welcome to ask. I have contact information linked above with my mailing address and phone number, if you're so curious... Or, you can also check out one of my many blogs to learn a little more about me. My personal blog, also linked above has been going strong since April of 2004. As a result, a lot of my life over the past several years has been well documented there. Otherwise, I also have profiles on MySpace, as well as, on Facebook. I also now have a Twitter account, if you would like to stay in contact with me that way. Take care and thank you very much for stopping by. I appreciate it!
